JOB DESCRIPTION

SKILLED MACHINIST


GENERAL:

(a) Be completely familiar with all aspects of the two part Quality Manual and the Company’s Quality Management System

(b) Total involvement in the Company's policy of “Customer Care”.

(c) Work as part of a team to achieve company objectives.

(d) Adhere to Company's Health and Safety rules and regulations. This includes reading Risk Assessments and procedures applicable to your job function.

(e) Understand principles of our commitment to “Investors in People”.

(f) Adopt a philosophy of continuous improvement in fulfilling your Training Programme.

(g) Be familiar with the Company’s “Market” as detailed in Staff Handbook.

(h) Perform any reasonable tasks requested in order to satisfy client needs. This includes overtime working and assisting in other roles to cover for holidays, absence etc.

(i) Be familiar with all other aspects of involvement as detailed on the staff CD


SPECIFICS

1. Ability to produce high quality work on lathes, milling machines, borers and slotters.

2. Thorough knowledge of machining - Speeds/Feeds/Use of Tooling etc.

3. Experience in use of measuring equipment - Micrometers/Verniers/Dial Indicators etc.

4. Ability to read engineering drawings and to work in imperial and metric sizes.

5. Ability to complete tasks in acceptable time scale.
